استقبل السيد نقيب المهندسين العراقيين، المهندس الاستشاري ذوالفقار حوشي المكصوصي، رئيس فرع العراق في جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات (IEEE) الاستاذ سعد جاسم محمد، يرافقه الدكتور حسين فالح عضو لجنة النشاط الثقافي و رئيس لجنة الانشطة الانسانية في جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والالكترونيات (IEEE)، والمهندس الاستشاري سنان صفاء ابو العيس رئيس لجنة النشر والإعلام ورئيس لجنة القطاع الخاص في نقابة المهندسين العراقية و مسؤول علاقات القطاع الصناعي في جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات (IEEE) في العراق.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث آفاق التعاون العلمي والمهني بين نقابة المهندسين العراقية وجمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات (IEEE)، بما يسهم في دعم البيئة البحثية والهندسية، وتعزيز الشراكات مع الجامعات الحكومية والمؤسسات الأكاديمية، إلى جانب تطوير البرامج العلمية والتدريبية المشتركة التي تواكب التطورات التكنولوجية الحديثة.
كما ناقش الجانبان أهمية الاستفادة من الخبرات العالمية التي توفرها جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات في مجالات البحث العلمي، والنشر الأكاديمي، وتنظيم المؤتمرات والورش التخصصية، فضلاً عن دعم الطلبة والمهندسين الشباب وتمكينهم من الانخراط في المشاريع البحثية والتقنية الحديثة.
وأكد السيد النقيب، أن النقابة حريصة على بناء شراكات فاعلة مع المؤسسات والمنظمات العلمية الرصينة، بما يعزز مكانة المهندس العراقي ويربطه بالتجارب والخبرات العالمية، مشيراً إلى أن التعاون مع جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات يمثل خطوة مهمة لدعم البحث العلمي وتطوير المهارات الهندسية والتقنية.
وأضاف أن النقابة تعمل على توسيع مساحة التعاون مع الجامعات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية، عبر إقامة المؤتمرات والدورات التخصصية والأنشطة العلمية المشتركة، بما ينسجم مع متطلبات سوق العمل والتحول الرقمي والتكنولوجي الذي يشهده العالم.
من جانبه، أشاد وفد جمعية مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات بالدور الذي تضطلع به نقابة المهندسين العراقية في دعم الكفاءات الهندسية واحتضان المبادرات العلمية، مؤكدين أهمية تعزيز التنسيق المشترك خلال المرحلة المقبلة بما يخدم الوسط الأكاديمي والهندسي في العراق.

President of the Iraqi Engineers Union Discusses Scientific Partnership and Engineering Research Development with IEEE
The President of the Iraqi Engineers Union, Consultant Engineer Thul-Faqar Hoshi Al-Maksousi, received the Chair of the IEEE Iraq Section, Mr. Saad Jasim Mohammed. He was accompanied by Dr. Hussain Falih, IEEE PES HAC Chairperson, and Consultant Engineer Sinan Safaa Aboeless, Head of the Publishing and Media Committee and Head of the Private Sector Committee at the Iraqi Engineers Union, who also serves as the Industry Relations Coordinator for IEEE Iraq.
During the meeting, both parties discussed prospects for scientific and professional cooperation between the Iraqi Engineers Union and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The collaboration aims to support the research and engineering environment, strengthen partnerships with public universities and academic institutions, and develop joint scientific and training programs that keep pace with modern technological advancements.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of leveraging the global expertise provided by IEEE in the fields of scientific research, academic publishing, and the organization of specialized conferences and workshops. In addition, they explored ways to support students and young engineers and enable them to engage in modern research and technical projects.
The President emphasized that the Union is keen on building effective partnerships with reputable scientific institutions and organizations to enhance the status of Iraqi engineers and connect them with international expertise and experiences. He noted that cooperation with IEEE represents an important step toward supporting scientific research and developing engineering and technical skills.
He added that the Union is working to expand cooperation with universities and academic institutions through organizing conferences, specialized courses, and joint scientific activities aligned with labor market requirements and the ongoing global digital and technological transformation.
For their part, the IEEE delegation praised the role of the Iraqi Engineers Union in supporting engineering talent and fostering scientific initiatives, stressing the importance of enhancing joint coordination in the coming period to achieve shared goals in scientific and engineering development.
