برعاية السيد نقيب المهندسين العراقيين، المهندس ذوالفقار حوشي المكصوصي، استضافت نقابة المهندسين العراقية اجتماع مشترك لأندية توستماسترز العراقية المحلية بعنوان “هندسة المستقبل”.
الجلسة، ركزت على تطوير مهارات القيادة والتواصل والخطابة باللغة الانگليزية، إضافةً إلى مناقشة أبرز التحديات التي يواجهها الخريجون الجدد عند دخول سوق العمل، ولاسيما في القطاع الخاص.
وقال السيد نقيب المهندسين، المهندس ذوالفقار حوشي المكصوصي، ان النقابة حريصة على دعم كل المبادرات التي تُسهم في تمكين المهندسين، من خلال اكتساب مهارات جديدة تواكب متغيرات العصر، وأكد سعي النقابة لفتح قنوات تعاون مع مختلف المؤسسات والبرامج التدريبية التي تضع مصلحة الشباب في مقدمة أولوياتها.
كما قدّم المهندس يحيى سامي كلمة الافتتاح من جانب النقابة ممثلاً عن لجنتي النشاط الثقافي (CAC) والقطاع الخاص (PSC)، حيث أكد في كلمته سياسة الأبواب المفتوحة التي تتبناها النقابة، انسجاماً مع توجيهات السيد النقيب، مشدداً على التزامها الدائم بتهيئة بيئة محفّزة للنمو، وداعمة للتطوير، وممكنة لتحقيق النجاح المهني والشخصي لكافة المهندسين الشباب.
من جانبهم، ألقى كل من المهندس حيدر حسن رئيس نادي بغداد توستماسترز، والمهندس حسين النقّاش رئيس نادي دجلة توستماسترز، كلماتهم، حيث أكدا أهمية تعزيز قدرات الشباب وصقل مهاراتهم القيادية بما يواكب متطلبات سوق العمل المتغيرة، مشيرين إلى أن أندية توستماسترز تُمثّل فرصة عملية لصقل مهارات الخطابة والتواصل والقيادة، وهي ضمن المهارات الأساسية للنجاح المهني.
أتى هذا النشاط في إطار التعاون المشترك بين نقابة المهندسين العراقية ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني، عاكساً حرص النقابة على توفير منصات تفاعلية تعزز حضور المهندسين وتؤهلهم لمواجهة تحديات المستقبل بثقة واقتدار.

Under the patronage of the President of the Iraqi Engineers Union (IEU), Engineer Dhulfiqar Hoshi, the IEU hosted a joint meeting of local Iraqi Toastmasters clubs themed “Engineering the Future.”
The session was focused on leadership, communication, English public speaking skills, while also addressing key challenges faced by recent graduates entering the job market, particularly in the private sector.
Eng. Hoshi emphasized the IEU’s commitment to supporting initiatives empowering engineers with skills aligned with the demands of the modern era. He affirmed the IEU’s efforts to establish collaborative channels with various entities that prioritize youth development.
Engineer Yahya Sami delivered the IEU’s opening speech representing the Cultural Activities Committee (CAC) and the Private Sector Committee (PSC), highlighting the IEU’s open-door policy in line with the IEU’s president guidance. Eng. Yahya stressed the Union’s ongoing dedication to fostering a growth-oriented environment that supports development and enables both professional and personal success.
Speeches were also delivered by Eng. Hayder Hasan, President of Baghdad Toastmasters Club, and Engineer Hussein Al-Naqqash, President of Tigris Toastmasters Club. Both underscored the importance of empowering youth and refining their leadership skills to meet the evolving demands of the labor market. They noted that Toastmasters programs offer practical opportunities to develop essential skills in English, public speaking, communication, and leadership, key ingredients for success in today’s professional landscape.
Reflecting the ongoing collaboration between the Iraqi Engineers Union and civil society organizations, demonstrating the IEU’s dedication to providing interactive platforms enhancing the visibility of engineers and preparing them to face future challenges with confidence and competence.
