انطلقت اليوم في نقابة المهندسين العراقية وبتنسيق وادارة لجنة النشاط الثقافي فعاليات تدريب (أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية)، بالتعاون مع مركز التجارة الدولية، ضمن مشروع التحول العادل والشامل (بيت) المموّل من الاتحاد الأوروبي، وبإشراف بعثته إلى العراق.
وافتتح فعاليات التدريب المهندس عبد الهادي عبد الحسن جبر، رئيس قسم المدني في النقابة، ممثّلًا عن السيد نقيب المهندسين العراقيين المهندس ذو الفقار حوشي المكصوصي، ناقلًا توجيهاته الداعمة لهذا التدريب، ومؤكدًا مباركة السيد النقيب للبرنامج، وتشجيعه المتدربين على الاستفادة القصوى من فرص التعاون الدولي لما لها من أثر مباشر في تطوير القدرات المهنية.
وتلت ذلك كلمة مركز التجارة الدولية، ألقاها المهندس صالح محمود، خبير البرامج في المركز، استعرض فيها أهداف التدريب وأهميته في دعم التحول نحو الطاقة النظيفة وبناء القدرات الوطنية في هذا المجال الحيوي.
كما ألقى المهندس يحيى سامي (منسق التدريب وملف التعاون) كلمة لجنة النشاط الثقافي في النقابة، أكد فيها أن هذا التعاون يأتي ضمن رؤية اللجنة لإعداد نخبة من المدربين المؤهلين فنيًا وعلميًا، بما يضمن استدامة الفائدة للمهندسين العراقيين حتى بعد اختتام برامج الشراكات وانتهاء دعم المؤسسات الدولية، وبما يسهم في الارتقاء بمهنة الهندسة وممارستها في العراق.
وقدّم الإحاطة الفنية للتدريب السيد حسام الدين خليل، خبير الطاقة الشمسية من القطاع الخاص العراقي، مستعرضًا محاور البرنامج وآليات التنفيذ.
وشهد اليوم الأول حضورًا تجاوز 60 متدربًا، جرى اختيارهم من بين أكثر من 440 طلب تسجيل، حيث استمرت الجلسة الأولى لأكثر من أربع ساعات، على أن تتبعها ثلاث جلسات مماثلة خلال الأيام المقبلة، تتضمن محتوى نظريًا وعمليًا، إضافة إلى محور تجاري يُخصص لليوم الأخير من التدريب.
ويأتي هذا التدريب كخطوة عملية ثانية ضمن ملف التعاون بين نقابة المهندسين العراقية وبعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي إلى العراق، بعد النجاح الذي تحقق في تدريب تدقيق الطاقة وتخرّج 47 متدربًا منه. وقد نُفذ التدريبان من قبل مركز التجارة الدولية، على أن تتبعها خطوات قادمة تهدف إلى تعزيز إمكانيات المهندسين العراقيين، ورفع مهاراتهم بما يواكب التطور التكنولوجي العالمي ويتلاءم مع متطلبات سوق العمل.

The Cultural Activities Committee at the Iraqi Engineers Union Launches “Solar Energy Systems” Training in Cooperation with the International Trade Centre
The Iraqi Engineers Union (IEU) through its Cultural Activities Committee (CAC) launched the “Solar Energy Systems” training programme in cooperation with the International Trade Centre (ITC), within the EU-funded Building Equitable and Inclusive Transformation (BEIT) project, under the supervision of the European Union Delegation to Iraq.
The training activities were opened by Eng. Abdulhadi Abdulhassan Jabr, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the IEU, representing the IEU President, Eng. Thulfiqar Hoshi Al-Makssousi. He conveyed the President’s supportive guidance for this programme, affirming his endorsement of the training and his encouragement for trainees to maximize the benefit from international cooperation opportunities, given their direct impact on strengthening professional capacities.
This was followed by remarks from the International Trade Centre delivered by Eng. Salih Mahmood, Programme Specialist at ITC, who highlighted the training objectives and its importance in supporting the transition toward clean energy and building national capacities in this vital field.
Eng. Yahya Sami (Cooperation and Partnership File Coordinator) also delivered the statement of the IEU Cultural Activities Committee (CAC), emphasizing that this cooperation aligns with the Committee’s vision to develop a pool of technically and academically qualified trainers, ensuring sustained benefits for Iraqi engineers even after partnership programmes conclude and international support ends, thereby contributing to advancing the engineering profession and practice in Iraq.
The technical briefing was delivered by Mr. Husam Al-Deen Khaleel, a solar energy expert from the Iraqi private sector, who presented the programme themes and implementation approach.
The first day recorded attendance of more than 60 trainees, selected from over 440 applications. The first session lasted for more than four hours and will be followed by three similar sessions over the coming days, covering both theoretical and practical content, in addition to a commercial component dedicated to the final day of the training.
This programme represents the second practical step within the cooperation portfolio between the Iraqi Engineers Union and the EU Delegation to Iraq, following the success of the Energy Auditing training and the graduation of 47 trainees. Both trainings have been implemented by the International Trade Centre. Further steps are expected to follow, aiming to strengthen Iraqi engineers’ capacities and elevate their skills in line with global technological developments and labor market requirements.
