نقيب المهندسين يستقبل سفير فنلندا ويبحث معه آفاق التعاون في المجالات الهندسية والأكاديمية بين البلدين

استقبل السيد نقيب المهندسين العراقيين، المهندس ذوالفقار حوشي المكصوصي، في مقر النقابة، سعادة سفير جمهورية فنلندا الجديد لدى العراق، السيد أنتي بوتكونن، وقد حضر اللقاء نائب النقيب الدكتور زيد عز الدين محمد، وأمين السر المهندس حيدر علي الرفيعي، وعضو مجلس النقابة ورئيس لجنة النشر والإعلام المهندس سنان صفاء ضياء.

أعرب السيد النقيب عن ترحيبه بالسفير الفنلندي الجديد، متمنيًا له فترة عمل ناجحة ومثمرة في العراق. كما جرى التأكيد خلال اللقاء على المكانة المتميزة لنقابة المهندسين العراقية ودورها المحوري في خدمة القطاع الهندسي ودعم مسيرة التنمية المستدامة في البلاد، باعتبارها إطارًا جامعًا للكفاءات والطاقات الهندسية العراقية المتميزة.

وشدد النقيب على ضرورة الاستفادة من التجربة الفنلندية في مجالات التطور الأكاديمي والعلمي والهندسي، والبناء المستدام، والتكنولوجيا النظيفة، والتحول الرقمي، وهي جوانب بالغة الأهمية لمستقبل العراق.

كما أكد السيد النقيب على أن الاستفادة من الخبرات الفنلندية الرائدة ونقلها إلى المهندسين العراقيين ستشكل إضافة نوعية لمسيرتهم المهنية، من شأنها تعزيز قدراتهم التنافسية في السوق المحلية والعالمية. وأوضح أن هذا الهدف يمكن تحقيقه من خلال إطلاق برامج ممنهجة لتبادل الخبرات والتدريب المهني بالشراكة مع المؤسسات الأكاديمية والهندسية الفنلندية.

ولفت إلى أن مثل هذا التعاون الاستراتيجي سيفتح آفاقًا جديدة للابتكار والتطور في القطاع الهندسي العراقي، مما سينعكس إيجابًا على تحقيق نقلة نوعية في مشاريع البنية التحتية، ويسهم في بناء منظومة متكاملة حديثة ومستدامة، تدعم بدورها أهداف التنمية الشاملة في العراق.

من جانبه، أعرب السفير الفنلندي عن سعادته البالغة بهذه الزيارة الأولى لنقابة المهندسين، مؤكدًا على تطلعه لإقامة شراكة قوية ومثمرة مع النقابة. وأكد على استعداد فنلندا التام لتقاسم خبراتها في المجالات التي يمكن أن تساهم في دعم مسيرة التطوير والتحديث في العراق.

وفي ختام اللقاء، تم الاتفاق على وضع آليات عملية للتعاون، تشمل تبادل الزيارات، وعقد الندوات المشتركة وورش العمل المتخصصة في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وذلك بهدف ترجمة هذه الرؤى إلى خطوات عملية ملموسة. وتجسيدًا لهذا التعاون المستقبلي، كرم السيد النقيب السفير الفنلندي بمنحه درع نقابة المهندسين العراقية؛ تعبيرًا عن تقديره لهذه الزيارة.

President of the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate Receives Finnish Ambassador to Discuss Prospects for Engineering and Academic Cooperation

The President of the Iraqi Engineers Union, Engineer Dhiaulfiqar Houshi Al-Makssousi, received His Excellency Mr. Antti Putkonen, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Iraq, at the Union headquarters. The meeting was attended by Vice President Dr. Zaid Azaddin Mohammed, Secretary Engineer Haider Ali Al-Rufaie, and Union Council Member and Head of the Publishing and Media Committee, Engineer Sinan Safaa Dhia Al Mosawi. Mr. Al-Makssousi welcomed the Finnish Ambassador and wished him a successful and fruitful tenure in Iraq. During the meeting, the distinguished role of the Iraqi Engineers Union was emphasized, highlighting its central contribution to the engineering sector and its support for sustainable development in the country, as a unifying platform for Iraq’s skilled and talented engineers.

The Union President stressed the importance of benefiting from Finland’s experience in academic, scientific, and engineering advancement, sustainable construction, clean technologies, and digital transformation—areas that are vital to Iraq’s future.

He further noted that transferring Finland’s leading expertise to Iraqi engineers would be a valuable addition to their professional journey, enhancing their competitiveness in both local and global markets. This goal could be achieved through structured programs for knowledge exchange and professional training in partnership with Finnish academic and engineering institutions.

Mr. Al-Makssousi added that such strategic cooperation would open new horizons for innovation and progress in Iraq’s engineering sector, positively impacting infrastructure projects and contributing to the development of a modern, integrated, and sustainable system that supports Iraq’s broader development goals.

For his part, Ambassador Putkonen expressed his great pleasure at visiting the Iraqi Engineers Union for the first time, and affirmed his eagerness to establish a strong and fruitful partnership with the Union. He reiterated Finland’s full readiness to share its expertise in areas that could support Iraq’s modernization and development efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to establish practical mechanisms for cooperation, including exchange visits, joint seminars, and specialized workshops in areas of mutual interest. As a gesture of appreciation, the Union President presented the Finnish Ambassador with the Union’s honorary shield to commemorate the visit and symbolize future collaboration.
