Materials Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Scrutinize documents for imported materials or manufactured items to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Perform testing and record results on standard forms, accurately documenting the location of materials within the works and their origin.
• Certify all materials to be used in the works, ensuring compliance with quality and quantity requirements.
• Oversee all materials to be incorporated into the works, including steel and concrete.
• Manage and utilize material sites and waste deposit sites efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct tests on completed works to verify compliance with specification requirements after the materials have been placed in the field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering .
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering works, with at least 5 years as a materials engineer in structural projects involving steel and concrete placement.
• In-depth knowledge of material specifications, testing procedures, and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in material testing and analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proficient in Arabic and English
