Job Title: Chief Engineer

Nassim Alnajaf Hotel is a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel renowned for its exceptional service, elegant accommodations, and world-class amenities. Located in the heart of [Najaf ], our hotel is dedicated to providing guests with memorable experiences and unparalleled hospitality.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of our hotel’s facilities and equipment. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as managing the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Maintenance:
– Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
– Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
– Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.

2. Equipment Management:
– Manage the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC systems, elevators, and fire safety equipment.
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for equipment operation and maintenance.

3. Team Leadership:
– Lead and mentor the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
– Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, prioritizing workload as needed to meet deadlines and operational needs.

4. Budget Management:
– Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, including forecasting expenses and monitoring spending.
– Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

5. Compliance and Safety:
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes pertaining to building maintenance, safety, and environmental standards.
– Conduct regular safety inspections and trainings to promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering .
– Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
– In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as building codes and regulations.
– Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
