e’re hiring a new Maintenance Engineer.
Job Description :
This is a fire-truck Maintenance Engineer role, located in Al-Rumaila oil field, Iraq. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of firefighting vehicles, focusing on their electrical and electronic systems, in addition to performing preventative maintenance and performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, training the firefighting crew in truck maintenance protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
▫ Preventative Maintenance:
– Conduct routine inspections of firefighting trucks to identify electrical system issues and potential problems.
– Perform scheduled maintenance and testing of electrical components, including batteries, wiring, lighting, and control systems.
– Replace or repair faulty electrical components to maintain the trucks in optimal condition.
– Keep comprehensive maintenance records to track the history of repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks.
▫ Electrical Troubleshooting:
– Diagnose and resolve electrical problems in firefighting trucks, including issues related to lighting, communication systems, sirens, and vehicle control systems.
– Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify electrical faults promptly.
▫ Training and Crew Support:
– conduct training sessions and offer ongoing technical support to the firefighting team.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
– Previous experience in maintenance and repair of emergency vehicles, especially firefighting trucks, is highly advantageous.
– Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electronic control modules, and diagnostic tools.
– Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Professional certification or relevant training in automotive electrical systems is a plus.
– Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
– Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
